    Night 9: Collector, Einzbern and Matou

    The mansion is silent. But as the party gets closer, they are more sure that somebody is inside.
    The party enters the bounded barrier while walking towards the house entrance. Half-way through they hear a voice from all around the garden.

    "I've been waiting your arrival. Especially you, master of Caster. I'll be right outside — if you two have anything of importance to say, now would be the time."

    "Tohsaka and the Supervisor are dead, Matou. You are a coward that escaped to keep his own life, leaving his companions to die. I will not allow you to escape again."

    Collector moves his right hand over the chains that lay on top of his left arm and slowly removes them. As the chains fall to the ground Colletor's left arm starts emitting a powerful aura and he begins to become overtaken by something.

    "From here on words will be meaningless, instead our weapons will do the 'talking'."

    The front door opens and a person can be seen entering the garden.
    "The barrier around the house won't let any outsiders know what's happening here. Feel free to use all of your strength, Lancer."
    As he says that a gust of wind materializes next to him and a servant appears.


    The outcome of this match is obvious — I'll make you yield to my command.

    Lancer we're going all out from the beginning!
    Lancer understood the meaning of those words and charged forward.



    While charging towards the other party he swiftly removed his mask and gazed at Archer.


    The flow of prana around the field felt disoriented, especially around Archer. Khronos, activate!
    Spoiler:
    This mystic eye techniques effect depends on the Circuit Quality of the target. As a game-master I'll check Archers to speed things along.
    [Circuit Quality 21-35] = -10 Penalty to Attack and Defense values.

    If the bowman had been affected by Lancer's initial assault, she did not let it show.



    All within a second, she retaliated by materialising her sleek, black bow and released her knocked arrow in a single motion. The projectile sailed past Lancer and straight towards the vulnerable Master.

    Lancer kept his composure and tightened his grip. Covering for his master he calculated the route of the projectile and Clashed agains it.
    Spoiler:
    Servant covering — 315 base damage. Rest mitigated by armor.
    Current Clash Penalty: 10%.
    He strengthened his spirit and remained silent. His second eye lit, but this time there was no effect on the environment.
    Rhoia Aerios...
    — without moving forward he simply took a defensive posture and waited.

    Archer's Turn

    Using her free had, Archer scoops up her Master and leaps with him over his shoulders. From his lack of reaction, he did not seem surprised at all from her actions.

    "Collector, we'll entrust Lancer to you for now." Shouts the Einzbern Master, clinging onto the neck of his Servant as she flew towards the borders of the house. However, her goal was seemingly not to escape for she proceeded to leap sideways after reaching the border's edge.

    This would be the second battle for the bow-wielding Servant in this War. She was confident in her victory and was supported by her Master. She would not show her back to the enemy until all other options had been exhausted.

    Archer carries Einzbern and brings the two of them 5 squares to the right and 1 downwards.

    This was the moment to attack. Not wasting a moment Lancer sprinted past Collector and towards the other master.



    Upon reaching Einzbern, Lancer took a swing and the massive scythe came down upon him.
    I hope you don't mind losing a limb or two!

    "LOTUS!"

    A barrier of energy comes in between Lancer and Archer, who slipped in between her Master and the enemy Servant not a heartbeat after he moved. The barrier served its purpose of reducing much of the blow's impact but still shattered after a second. Archer sword, which had already materialised in her hands, was the receiving end for the rest of the scythe's descent.

    Spoiler:
    Noble Phantasm 'Lotus' used to Defend with the shield value of 350. The rest of the damage is completely reduced by armor.

    The Einzbern Master remained behind his Servant, having yet to strike or be struck. With a surprising burst of speed, he leapt further away from the dueling Servants.

    Lancer sees Einzbern trying to get away from him. As his back is exposed during his retreat, Lancer takes two aimed strikes at him.

    Without changing his position Lancer prepares for another attack against Archer.

    As a note I forgot to mention that the ability used on Archer lasts for 5 rounds. Next is gonna be her third turn.

    With a call of the sword's name to counter each of Lancer's lunges, Archer effectively has her Master shielded from all damage.

    Two casts of Lotus. Same resulting scenario as above.

    Quickly slipping past the scythe-wielding Servant, she had her bow knocked up once again and released the arrow straight towards the door of the Matou household, aiming for the retreating figure of Lancer's Master.

    Archer moves 2 squares upwards.

    Basic Ranged attack at Matou (or at the door of the Matou household if necessary). Base damage 330 with the ranged attack value of 18+d20.

    On his previous turn Lancer attacked Einzbern twice and Archer once. I'll assume you used Lotus three times.

    As Matou hears the thundering sound outside mixed with Lancers yell, his command spell burns as if danger is near. Instinctively he knows that something is coming.
    One of the seals fades and a wish is made — Lancer protect me.

    The movement is instantaneous, as if there were two Lancers on the field. The after image fades and a blocking sound is heard in front of the door - it's Lancer.

    Spoiler:
    Command seal used. Lancer changes location on front of the door and defends against the attack with boosted stats - negates all damage.

    Great. Now I'm stuck defending my master again until he moves his lazy ass somewhere more safe.
